Last thought…
I just finished the first season of Dead Like Me. A show turned on to me by Jeffy and I have to say…
I LOVE IT!!
It’s one of the most original shows I’ve seen in years. The plot is fabulous, characters real and meaty with dialogue that makes me alternately laugh and cry. I highly recommend it if you can get your hands on a copy. .
There’s an episode when the reapers are cataloging people’s last thoughts, and Daisy mentions that it’s sad that 2/3rds of the last thoughts are regrets. The others are about being lonely and other depressing things.
I started to think. What would I want my last thought to be? If my last thought were to be saved for posterity – what would I want it to be? Huh.
I certainly don’t want it to be that I was a chicken shit. I don’t want regrets – I don’t want to think I was lonely or that I took the easy route. Of course I fully expect that it’s likely something will surprise me at the last moment, but aside from memorable thoughts such as, “Fuck me!” “Oh, shit!” and “That Bastard!” - I would like my last thought to be something like *hysterical laughter* followed by “That was awesome.”
Or,
“Right on. Let’s do it again.”
What would your last thought be? What do want it to be?

“It figures” and “That was worth it”

I have been reading you for a couple of weeks…stumbled upon you from a link on someone’s blog. Who? I cannot remember…
Anyway, the point of the comment…Dead Like Me was a FABULOUS series and I was heartbroken when they cancelled it. It was so original and fresh, the show had the potential to go so many places. They cancelled it to bring Barbershop the series. *shakes head* Sigh.
Good luck with your adventure!

I want my last thought to be something mundane….
“Hmm…thats going to stain my shirt” or “Did i pay my cable bill?”
Unfortunalty i know myself, and it will end up more like “Oops” or “Awww Crap”

Thanks for reading my blog, PstLyfDiva. I can’t believe networks are still in business when they cut shows such as Dead Like Me. It hurts my sense of justice in the world.

Oh, Chadly.
I suspect you’ll be laughing too hard for any real last thoughts.
