When I get off work today I’m headed to do a photo shoot with Reina G. Collins. I’m so excited. My photography gigs are actually generating revenue. Back when I bought my camera, I worried that I wouldn’t be able to justify it, but almost two years later I’ve paid for it several times with my work – and now I’m drooling over a new SLR. I had a consultation with Rob from Excel Talent last night and he gave me a bunch of pointers on trying to turn pro and specialize in one subject. An hour later my head was spinning and I couldn’t wrap all the information into one package – so I’m going to have to think about it. I have 13 local bands in my portfolio and the idea of taking it to a higher level means – I can justify that SLR. Hmmm.
Anyhoo, I’m stoked about Reina. She’s one of those genuinely nice people that I will have a fun time hanging out with and doing fun photo things. Yay.
After my shoot with Reina I’m headed off to what will hopefully be my last scene for the movie. It’s looking like another long night shoot, but I’ll be glad to wrap this project and get some sleep. Tonight is the last half of my death scene so – thankfully not much will be required since I’m still cramping and totally exhausted. I can totally pass for dead right now. Low iron and pale, tired and blah – so I should be very convincing.
