I talked to Sean last night.

I don’t suppose any of you would believe me if I said that after seven of the best hours of phone conversation we’ve decided to elope to Tigard for a drive-through Elvis ceremony performed in Iambic Pentameter…

So instead, I’ll tell you that we talked for abut 20 minutes, and I’m still charmed by him.  I suspect that the blogging thing threw him a little, being that there was instant feedback from people he didn’t know and had never heard of, but he seems to think it’s amusing – which is good.

What it boils down to, is that he’s not interested in a girlfriend. Which is also good.  He is interested in talking, having coffee and perhaps building a friendship. Excellent. All points in favor.  I think there’s not really a way to loose on this one.  Therefore, in the next couple of weeks, I’ll see if we can get together and start the fun of learning someone new.

Mona, Dearest, thank you for the tough-love approach.

On an entirely different note, Sondra called me yesterday to tell me she’d ordered Ghosts of Seattle and Amazon sent her a notice saying it wouldn’t be available till October 26th.  I called Schiffer Publishing this morning and found out that not only is the book delayed – but my EditorExtraordinaire confused me with yet another mono-name Athena who is writing in her paranormal division. What are the odds of that? It surprised me that it actually bothered me… I’m going to have to think about that.

Anywhoo, to all of you who have ordered already from Amazon, I apologize, it seems the book is still classified as “on the water” which means it’s in crates on a freighter coming over from China. She told me they should have it by the 28th of Aug, but I’m starting to not believe them anymore.

Hopefully it will be here by Halloween so I can work out some sort of launch that coincides with fun and horror.

All in all, a lot of shifts are happening on a sublevel and although I can feel them, I can’t quite define or articulate them yet.  As soon as I have it pinned – I will let you know.
