Happy Freaking Halloween

It’s been a pretty uneventful week.  Lots of bed rest and TV and going out of my mind with boredom. I’ve discovered that I’m just not very good at the waiting to feel better thing.  I need to feel proactive.

I spent hours putting my Dorothy costume together.  Cutting the pattern and sewing it with the help of Skysidehe and finding all the little parts like a basket and Toto collar.  Then I wore it for a couple of hours on Saturday before I felt too crappy and had to go home, and then I didn’t go to work today so I couldn’t wear it there.  I’m all bummed about the timing – my favorite holiday of the year and I’m in bed with tea and re-runs.

Okay, pity-party is over. Tomorrow it’s back to work.

Snuggled in

I’m home sick today.  Yesterday’s interview went well.  I “uhmed” a lot and sounded like my voice was an octave deeper from being sick, but I think it went okay. I’m sacked out at my new place where I’ve been drinking oj and watching episodes of Supernatural season 2 and Heroes season 2.  Hopefully I’ll have something entertaining to report tomorrow.  For now it’s just a lot of Nyquil and tissues. Eww.
