Been getting up early to write because it’s the only block of uninterrupted time I have in the day. So far this week I’ve written a grand total of … nothing. I sit in front of my screen sleeping with my eyes open. Mind wandering in circles like “When is the sun going to come up?” “Why am I out of bed?” “Oh my god, did I just drool?”
It’s going to take some time evidently to rewire my natural creative patterns since I’ve always been a night writer. Generally between 10pm and 4am. So this early morning stuff - - not so productive. I drank a full pot of French press yesterday trying to rev up my brain and I’m halfway through one today. Character’s lives are hanging in the balance so I need to get a move on.
