My plan to play X-box for Christmas was a great success!
I made it through most of Halo 2 on the master setting but Friday night after a couple of glasses of wine (which as it happens, makes it hard to accurately throw a plasma grenade with any precision) I got stuck on a level that I am still stuck on three days later.
It’s been five hours of attempts to clear this level and even sober – I am still stuck. WTF? So I switched over to watching the first season of Dark Angel.
I ate leftovers from the giant Italian dinner – the same dinner that I lit the baguette slices on fire in the broiler. So I had fresh French bread and gorgonzola chicken tortellini leftovers and Megan’s toffee for the next few days of utter relaxation.
Then, on Saturday I got to pick up my Christmas gift to myself this year – Princess Buttercup.
I realized this year, when the usual level of holiday stress was absent that I think this will be a new tradition. In fact, next year, I think I’ll be going to Mexico for Christmas!
I suspect that when I have a family of my own, that I will enjoy the typical traditions or the excitement of the frenzy – but until then, I believe I will be quite happy without it all.
So how were your holidays?
Did you create any new and exciting traditions of your own?
